Thank you for using the www.biocode.org.uk website, the BioCode mobile application, and all course materials made available through them (collectively, the “Service”) operated by BioCode, Inc. (“BioCode”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Use of and access to the Service is subject to your compliance with these terms of use (the “Terms”), so please read these Terms carefully. BioCode reserves the right to limit or terminate your access to the Service if you do not comply with these Terms.
By accessing and using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ALL OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THE TERMS OF USE, YOU DO NOT HAVE PERMISSION TO USE THE SERVICE IN ANY MANNER.
1. Scope of Services
At BioCode, we’re passionate about empowering researchers and students like you with cutting-edge bioinformatics solutions. We offer a comprehensive suite of services designed to support your research journey, from meticulous data analysis and insightful writeups to the delivery of raw data you can explore further. Our expertise extends across various domains, including:
Whole-genome sequencing: Unraveling the complete genetic makeup of organisms, providing valuable insights into their evolution, function, and disease susceptibility.
RNA-sequencing (bulk and single-cell): Analyzing the transcriptome to understand gene expression patterns, identify biomarkers, and delve into cellular heterogeneity.
ChIP-seq: Investigating protein-DNA interactions to uncover regulatory elements and decipher gene regulatory networks.
Methyl-seq: Profiling DNA methylation patterns to understand epigenetic modifications and their impact on gene expression and disease.
Bioinformatics pipeline software development: Building custom pipelines using Python, R, and JAVA to automate data analysis workflows and enhance efficiency.
Advanced techniques: Utilizing molecular docking, molecular dynamics, computational drug discovery, vaccine discovery, and de novo protein design to push the boundaries of bioinformatics research.

2. Disclaimer of Responsibility
At BioCode, we strive to provide the highest quality bioinformatics services, but it’s important to understand our role and limitations. We are dedicated to delivering the services outlined in your agreement with us, but we cannot guarantee the publication of your papers, articles, or research. Similarly, we cannot be held responsible for the acceptance, approval, or success of any academic, scientific, or professional submissions based on the work we provide. Your research journey is ultimately your own, and we are here to support you with the best bioinformatics tools and expertise.
3. Deliverables
When you partner with BioCode, you can expect the following deliverables:
A comprehensive writeup summarizing your work: We’ll provide a clear and concise summary of your research findings, tailored to your specific needs and the scope of our service agreement.
The data generated or analyzed during our service: You’ll receive all data associated with your project, enabling you to perform additional analyses or pursue new research directions. Additionally, we provide figures, data sheets and any associated files generated throughout the project.
Reviewer (Journal’s) comments: During the peer review process, if the reviewers request revisions that pertain to the work we have completed for you and do not necessitate additional work, we will address these comments without charge. However, if the reviewers require additional work related to the scope of our services, we will apply additional charges commensurate with the nature of the work requested.
4. Client Responsibility
We encourage you to actively engage with the deliverables we provide, reviewing and utilizing them to advance your research goals. You are solely responsible for any further modifications, interpretations, or applications of the work provided by BioCode. Your research journey is ultimately your own, and we are here to provide you with the tools and support you need to succeed. Therefore, we recommend that you review the work provided to you promptly and contact us immediately if there are any technical issues with the deliverables, so that we may address them promptly. Additionally, we will not consider any work that has been delivered for 6 months or longer, unless these are journal reviewer’s comments or unless additional work is required.
5. Limitation of Liability
BioCode shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services or deliverables. Any decisions based on our deliverables are at your sole discretion and risk. We encourage you to critically evaluate the results and make informed decisions based on your research goals and expertise.
6. Intellectual Property
The data and writeups provided to you are for your exclusive use. You are free to utilize them to advance your research and publish your findings. BioCode retains the right to utilize anonymized and aggregated data for in-house training or developmental purposes, ensuring absolute client confidentiality.
7. Confidentiality
At BioCode, we understand the importance of confidentiality. We respect the confidentiality of your data and will not disclose it to third parties without your explicit consent, except as required by law. You can trust us to protect your research and maintain its privacy.
8. Modifications and Updates
BioCode reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. We encourage you to stay informed about any updates or modifications to our terms and conditions.
9. Data Privacy
Your personal and project details will remain confidential and will not be shared with any third party under any circumstances. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your data.
10. Modifications and Adjustments
If you require modifications to your writeup or adjustments to your figures, please inform us within 15 days of delivery. Requests made after this period will not be entertained, without additional charges. We strive to provide timely and efficient service, and we appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this policy. This is to make sure that we prioritize the projects at hand.
11. Service Delays
While we strive to meet deadlines, delays in service delivery may occasionally occur due to unforeseen circumstances during the analysis of data such as requiring additional preprocessing. In such cases, we will communicate promptly to keep you informed. We understand the importance of timely service and will do our best to minimize any disruptions to your research.
12. Payment Terms
BioCode offers two payment options:
Option 1: Pay 35% of the total fee in advance, with the remaining balance due upon completion of the work. This option allows you to secure our services and spread the cost over time.
Option 2: Pay the full amount upfront. This option provides a streamlined payment process and may be eligible for discounts.
Please note that the advance payment is non-refundable once work on your project has commenced. Of note, the payment is non-refundable, once you have confirmed and reviewed the deliverables.
13. Agreement
By engaging with BioCode’s services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions. We encourage you to carefully review these terms and conditions before utilizing our services.
